I guess with all the things we have had going on the past couple of weeks I have neglected my blog. With that said, I have lots of things to share. This post may be pretty lengthy. We had a great time with the family during the fourth. It was the first time in about 8 years that everyone was together. My husband has 6 brothers and sisters, therefore, getting everyone together has been pretty difficult. They all made the trek to us. Below are some pictures of our week. We had a blast. I wish we all lived closer. I don't know why we all chose to live so far apart. I guess with jobs and such we didn't really have a choice. The nice thing is that we have recruited both of the brothers to Denver. Only about a 2 hour drive from us. That has been really nice. The kids have really enjoyed spending time with their uncles and I think the same goes for Jack and Steve! I hope we can all get together soon!

Just stopping by to say hi. It has been really busy around here. I am working on some posts on what we have been up to. Camping trip, crafts, trip to Denver and an awesome farmer's market. We have the whole family coming for the 4th. Can't wait! I will post soon.

So this is my first attempt in applique. Not too shabby. My nephew turned one on Saturday and I wanted to make him something. I can't believe he is one! Time has passed so quickly. The last time I saw him he was only two weeks old. Needless to say, I am due for a visit. Hopefully this summer sometime. We live about 20 hours away from them. I wish we lived closer. Happy Birthday Clayton. You are such a big boy!

It has been a while.... My mom was in town, preschool graduation and the day to day hecticness of my life. I have been really getting ready to post new items in my Etsy shop. Totally on the verge but am having a hard time finding the time to sew. Hopefully things will move more slowly this summer.

We are getting ready for all the family, my husbands side, to visit for a whole week around July 4th. This will be the first time that they have all been together (he has 6 brothers and sisters) since our wedding. I can't wait to see everyone. It will be crazy, but so much fun for all the grandchildren to play, cooking together and spending quality time.

Well, guess I need to get back to work. I hope to post some new pictures of the kids soon. Hope you are all having a great day!

Well, here I am trying to be very consistent with my blog. I want to set this up with cute font and designs. This has lead me to looking at other blogs and how they are set up. My oh my what cute blogs there are out there! I hope that I can get mine set up soon. I have learned alot about HTML and such, but feel like I need to go back to school to refresh my memory. See, when I first began college, I wanted to be a Graphic Designer. That did not last long. I finally figured out that I loved to be creative, but using another medium......Food! I went to culinary school and loved every minute. Maybe I will include recipes and such. I could do it once a week, maybe on Friday. I could call it Foodie Friday. OK, I will make that my goal.

I am thinking about purchasing a new camera. Any suggestions? Something user friendly that takes good pics. I wanted to include some pics of the family. This is also another goal that I have and hope to accomplish by taking some classes. Hope you all are having a great Monday. Only four more work days left, and then a long weekend.

Ok, so I know that this has probably been around for a while but I just found the app on my iphone. Pandora is amazing. It is the most incredible way to listen to great music and find great new artists.
I am sitting in the studio sewing my heart out getting ready for my new etsy shop. For years I have wanted to start a shop, but never had the time. My husband has been great, taking care of the kids so I can prepare for this goal. I don't know what I would do without him. I will try to post tomorrow but it is another busy day at my real job and we have a birthday party after school. I hope you all are having a great evening.

Wow. I never thought I would start a blog, but here goes. I am not much of a writer, but enjoy reading blogs and am inspired by those blogs to create. I hope to share what I am working on, recipes, and my day to day crazy life. My goal will be to blog each day, although that may be hard with 2 kids and a husband that demand my attention, maybe I should start with once a week. This will definately be an outlet for me and can't wait to start!
